These 40 foot, 40 ton cars were conversions from B-50-13 and 14 box cars carried out in 1941-42, and again in 1948. They carried a S-40-12 or S-40-13 designation respectively. They remained on the T&NO through the 1940's, 1950's and 4 actually survived into the 1960's. The model kit was produced by Sunshine Models for the 2007 Society Houston Convention.
